What's on your bucket list

Creating financial security so you can tick off your bucket list!

What’s your thing?  You know, that one thing which you know you don’t need, but boy do you want it!

We have a confession, for our MD it’s a watch, not any watch – a Bremont watch.

The team here at Middleton Private Capital gathered together to ponder what it is that powers this obsession. We came up with a few similarities.  Precision, timing, accuracy – they are all qualities which make him tick.

Bremont is a relatively young British watchmaking firm based in Henley on Thames, the owners Nick and Giles English sought to make the very best pilots watches available – ‘inspired by a love of flying historic aircraft, of watches and all things mechanical’.  Their vision in 2002 has been met and you can now choose from the most incredible selection of beautifully crafted watches.

Ian Clarke, is also fascinated by military history and aviation, which led to a special purchase – the Bremont 1918 Limited Edition.  This watch marks the centenary year of the Royal Air Force.

This is a truly unique watch as described by Bremont:

A Bristol Blenheim, a Supermarine Spitfire and a Hawker Hurricane that all flew during the summer of 1940 are incorporated into this remarkable timepiece. Each of these Battle of Britain aircraft forms a propeller blade in the rotor and are complemented by a veneer of original wood from the Shuttleworth Collection’s 1917 SE5a which can be found at its centre.’

For an aviation fanatic this was truly irresistible!  To further entice a willing buyer the proceeds from the sale of this particular watch limited edition collection go to the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) which has supported current and former RAF personnel for nearly 90 years.

To really complete the experience of owning this fantastic item Ian made a trip to Duxford to see and sit in Spitfire N3200, the very aircraft that took part in the Dunkirk battle and a piece of which is in the back of his watch.  This beautiful machine is one of very few remaining spitfires which flew in the war and is still flying today.

That is a big tick on the bucket list of life!

If your ‘thing’ is a watch, a narrowboat, a three-week safari, a particular car, to climb Everest, or to just have financial security for the future for you and your family, we can help you get there.
